The program’s objective is to identify the needs and practical situations that are applicable to public services in the Canary Islands, both for unresolved issues as well as to offer new public services or improve the capacity and quality of existing ones, provided that they can be resolved through technological innovation and that no standardized solutions already exist on the market.

The Canarias Geo Innovation Program 2030 is seeking solutions that involve sustainable, innovative development. Innovation will be the product of air, land, and sea observation, which will require the use of a variety of technology types and data sources (optic, radar, thermal, hyperspectral, etc.) that come, among other sources, from aerial and satellite platforms, UAVs (drones), and ground or marine sensors.

On 13 June, the Canarias Geo Innovation Program 2030 Market Consultation was launched in Madrid. The seminar targeted companies and organisations interested in participating in the program and provided detailed information on the program and the challenges identified that will hopefully be tackled and covered through future procurements.
